Helmel Engineering Products offers its Microgage coordinate measuring machine. It is a small-format desktop three-dimensional direct-computer-controlled instrument designed to deliver volumetric accuracy better than 5 micrometers, with repeatability of 0.7 micrometers and scale resolution of 0.1 micrometers, the company reports. The design is a fixed-bridge-type with moving storage for the Y axis. The XYZ travel range is 225 x 150 x 125 mm. The system features linear bearings in the X and Y axes and instrument roller bearings for the Z axis.
